Gender differences in suicidal ideation among youth

The current study examined gender differences in suicidal ideation among youth. A sample of 400 students in the age range of 15- 25 years studying at various school and colleges was collected from various schools of district Hisar, Haryana. The Suicidal Ideation Scale by Renyolds (1987) was used to examine the gender difference in suicidal ideation. T- test was used for statistical analysis and the results indicated that there was no significant gender difference in suicidal ideation. The findings suggested that boys and girls are equal on suicidal ideation.
