The present study investigates the role of gender on study habits, academic performance, and achievement motivation among school children. The research also explores the interconnections among study habits, academic performance and achievement motivation of school students. 140 students (70 boys & 70 girls) from various private schools in Bhubaneswar, Odisha participated in the study. All the participants were studying in 8th class and their age ranged from 13-14 years. Achievement Motivation Scale, Study Habits Inventory were used to assess students’ achievement motivation and study habits respectively. Their last examination marks were taken as indicators of academic performance. SPSS 22 version was used to calculate the results. Results show that girls had superior time management skills, higher concentration levels, and faster reading speeds in terms of study habits. The results also revealed significant and positive relationship between, Study habits and academic performance; study habits and achievement motivation and academic performance and achievement motivation.
