This study aimed to assess symptoms of anxiety and depression in adults using the nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) for depression and the seven-item Generalised Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7) for anxiety. A diverse sample of 136 participants across different age groups was included in the evaluation. The study revealed that 38.20% of respondents displayed mild symptoms of generalised anxiety, 22% fell into the moderate category, 8.82% showed severe symptoms, and 30.80% reported no significant anxiety symptoms based on GAD-7 scores. Regarding PHQ-9 results, 35.2% reported mild depression symptoms, 25.70% exhibited moderate symptoms, and 1.47% experienced moderately severe symptoms. Demographically, 57.36% of respondents identified as females, while 42.64% identified as males.
