The present study aims to investigate the role of Emotional Regulation Strategies (Appearance Fixing, Positive Rational Acceptance, & Experiential Avoidance) in Body Image Investment among adolescents. For this purpose, a sample of 611 adolescents (298 males & 313 females) with ages ranging from 13-19 years (M = 16.03; SD = 1.55) was taken. The required data was collected using the Body Image Coping Strategies Inventory-Revised (BICSI-R; Cash, 2005) and Multidimensional Body Self-relations Questionnaire-Revised (MBSRQ-R; Cash et al., 2018). The data was analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Multiple Regression analyses. It was found that Appearance Fixing (r = 0.606; p<0.01) and Positive Rational Acceptance (r = 0.150; p<0.01) have significant positive correlation with Body Image Investment among Adolescents. The results of Multiple Regression analyses revealed that Appearance Fixing (β = 0.646; p<0.001) is a significant positive predictor of Body Image Investment among adolescents, and Experiential Avoidance (β = -0.174; p<0.001) is a significant negative predictor of Body Image Investment among adolescents. The results are discussed in the light of Cognitive Behavioral Perspectives of Body Image (Cash, 2012).
