The degree of satisfaction in romantic relationships is correlated with the trait of emotional intelligence (Wollny et al., 2020). According to Goleman, emotional intelligence is defined as a “person’s ability to manage their feelings so that those feelings are expressed appropriately and effectively”. Emotional intelligence and relationship satisfaction are pre-eminent concepts for better interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. The relationship we form with other people has an earth-shattering effect on our mental and emotional well-being. The present research aims to study the relationship between emotional intelligence and relationship satisfaction. For the purpose of the study, 100 committed participants from the age group of 18-26 years were selected. The relationship assessment scale and emotional intelligence questionnaire were filled by the participants of the study. Statistical method named Pearson correlation was carried out to assess the relationship among the variables and the value obtained was .441 (Significance value) which is significant at .001 thus, the present study’s result demonstrated that relationship satisfaction and emotional intelligence are positively correlated.
