The main objective of the research was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction among male and female working population. It also assessed how each variable differs across genders. The study involved a test with 100 participants from different firms in Kerala (50 males & 50 females) and was quantitative in nature. The random sampling method was employed to select samples from the population. Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) by Wong and Law and Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, and Griffin, were the instruments used to collect data. Standard statistical tools such as the independent sample t-test and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used to analyse the data obtained. The findings indicate that there is strong positive correlation between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction. It also shows that there is no notable difference in emotional intelligence and life satisfaction between male and female professionals.
