‘Stress’ is a complex reaction formed due to specific ‘psychological’ and ‘physiological’ elements identified in the surroundings. Incorporating the ‘Progressive Muscle Relaxation’ Technique is an effective intervention that helps manage stress. Persistent stress situations among adults contribute to anxiety and even lead to ‘depression’. The ‘progressive Muscle relaxation’ technique is an effective measure to manage stress and anxiety identified among adults. It helps the body to relax by allowing systematic relaxation of muscle groups. Since this muscle relaxation technique is a cost-effective approach, it can be incorporated easily and conveniently. Multiple forms of ‘relaxation techniques’ are an approach that ensures the reduction of ‘stress’ and also elimination of ‘tension’ in muscles. This study aims to reflect on the effectiveness of the ‘Progressive Muscle Relaxation Technique’ in eliminating stress and making life better. This is an attempt to elaborate on the effectiveness of the relaxation technique in managing ‘stress’ in adults. This study uses information from multiple research and reviews connected to the prevalence of ‘stress’ and ‘depression’ and strategies to mitigate it. This study uses different resources in terms of relaxation techniques in the process of identifying its impact. It uses information from different online libraries, and ‘government websites’ to relevant information in this regard. It uses ideas shared in previous research to conclude about the same. Hence, it is convenient to regard that the effectiveness of relaxation techniques is quite significant in managing stress of adults.
