Subliminal intervention, which involves embedding messages below the threshold of conscious awareness, has gained widespread popularity on platforms like YouTube, especially among young adults seeking self-improvement in areas such as mental well-being and emotional regulation. This study examines its effects on psychological well-being, mental health, positive affect, and negative affect through a mixed-methods quasi-experimental design. A total of 60 participants (18-22 years old) were divided into experimental (n = 30) and control (n = 30) groups. The experimental group listened to a subliminal audio intervention daily for 21 days, while the control group received no treatment. Standardized measures-including Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale, PANAS, and GHQ-12-assessed pre- and post-intervention outcomes. Paired and independent t-tests were used for quantitative analysis, and thematic analysis examined introspective reports. Findings revealed a significant increase in psychological well-being, mental health, and positive affect, alongside a reduction in negative affect in the experimental group, supporting its potential therapeutic application.
