Occupational stress is a mental burden placed onto the teacher’s brain due to excess load of work and responsibilities. Organizational climate is one of the elements that has been associated with occupational stress and organizational climate shows a set of attributes about an organization and that may be induced from how that organization deals with their members and occupational climate, therefore the study was piloted to find out the effect of occupational stress on organizational climate of professors. The study was undertaken in the Hisar and Rohtak districts of Haryana state in four universities. 200 respondents from Hisar district and 200 respondents from Rohtak district were selected randomly thus making a total sample of 400 respondents from four universities. Occupational Stress Scale (TOSS) by Sharma and Kaur (2014) was used to assess occupational stress of respondents and organizational climate (OCS) by Pethe, Chaudhari, and Dhar (2001) was used to assess Organizational Climate of respondents. The finding clarified that Hisar district respondents faced more occupational stress than Rohtak district respondents due to excessive workload but had better organizational climate in terms of good colleague relationships and positive climate. Further data also revealed that there is a significant and positive relation found between organizational climate and occupational stress.
