This research highlights the impact of Mindfulness-based Intervention (MBI) on perceived stress and well-being in a low-income Indian school. Although MBIs are known for fostering mental health, their significance in low socio-economic settings is yet to be explored. The study, involving about 50 students, uses pre-and post-tests and standardized tools, addressing a critical gap in low-income education. Results indicate no significant change in stress or well-being post-MBI, underlining the intricacy of executing such programs in these schools. Incompatible needs, immediate stressors, and the hybrid nature of the intervention may have impacted results. This study emphasizes the need for tailored MBIs and culturally sensitive measurements, calling for additional research and adaptation.
