Adolescents with learning disabilities experience emotional imbalances due to repeated failure in learning situations. There is a clear need to create a Malayalam version of the Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) given the substantial correlation between emotional intelligence and learning impairments. An emotional intelligence scale that focuses largely on adolescents was created by the researcher by utilising a cross-sectional research approach. The data was collected from adolescents in eighth through twelfth grades aged 12 to 17 years old. The exploratory factor analysis revealed four main dimensions: Self-Awareness (10 items), Problem-Solving (4 items), Optimism (4 items), and Relationship Management (5 items). The EIS was determined to have a Cronbach Alpha and Split Half reliability of 0.88 and 0.86, respectively. The present study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of the Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) in order to evaluate the emotional intelligence levels of adolescents who have learning disabilities.
