The spouses of serving personnel of military and paramilitary forces are integrated part of organizations and serve as backbone for them. The deployment of military and paramilitary forces has great toll on the mental health of the serving personnel as well on their spouses. The objective the present paper is to compare the deployment stress among working and non working spouses of military and Para military (n=300 ) in Haryana and NCR. Participants filled out researcher’s self-developed scale of deployment stress to measure the variable under study. The finding suggested that there was significant difference in deployment stress (t=11.35, p <.05) among working and non - working spouses of military and paramilitary personnel. The study has implication in policy decisions related to military and paramilitary forces.
