This review explores the intricate relationship between education and the empowerment of Muslim women, emphasizing the diverse socio-cultural and geopolitical contexts they navigate. By analyzing studies from various regions, it highlights that education’s impact on empowerment is not universal and is shaped by political, cultural, and economic factors. The study investigates how Muslim women balance faith, education, and societal norms, focusing on how these elements influence their empowerment. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, the research finds that while education is pivotal, it must work alongside efforts like reinterpretation of religious texts, activism, and legal advocacy. Empowerment often involves negotiating societal expectations while pursuing personal growth. The review includes insights from Muslim women in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Arab countries, who achieve empowerment through family dialogue and contextual adjustments. It calls for more inclusive future research, incorporating intersectional analyses and advocating for context-specific policies and support systems.
