Over the years, Indian agriculture has told the tale of technological innovation and assimilation for the benefit of farmers. India is a varied agricultural region with favorable conditions for growing a large range of crops. Guava is one such crop that is farmed across large areas of land. Globally, India is the top producer of this fruit. The crop’s prognosis has improved due to advancements in micro-irrigation methods, such as drip irrigation. The present study was conducted in three districts of Haryana to examine the farmers’ understanding of water conservation and the challenges they confront while using a drip irrigation system for guava production. The results showed that a vast majority of respondents were aware of water-saving strategies, including rainwater collection (78.75%), mulching (85.00%), laser leveling (76.25%), drip irrigation systems (100.0%), and preventing leakage and water waste (86.75%). The constraints and challenges have been well documented under the financial, technical, and geographical areas which provide a holistic picture of the extent of constraints in the state of Haryana for the Guava crop.
