In the world, India stands at the first position in wheat area with a share of 12.4 per cent to the total area and in production it occupies second position next to China with 11.5 per cent share and this position continues for more than a decade (FAO Trade Statistics, 2018). Wheat is one of the staple foods in India. Farmer faces the problems in wheat cultivation due to poor resource base and non-adoption of recommended techniques (Ahirwar et al., 2015). Haryana is predominantly an agricultural financial system with a preponderance of wheat, rice, bajra, mustard, sugarcane and cotton. Twenty-two wheat varieties evolved from CCSHAU, Hisar such as C-306, WH 147, Sonak, WH 157, WH 1105, etc. Results showed that the majority of the respondents were aware of WH 1142, WH 711*, C 306 and WH 1105 and were least aware of WH 1270 as, it was released in the year 2021. Furthermore, maximum knowledge was recorded regarding various wheat varieties viz. C 306, WH 711*, WH 147 and WH 1105. Also, least overall knowledge was recorded for the wheat variety WH 1270 and maximum knowledge gap was observed for the same as it was not well disseminated amongst respondents.
