With an increasing number of women working and contributing financially to their households, issues like anxiety and depression have become prevalent among employed and non-working women equally. This study examines these psychological well-being concerns in employed and non-working females in Kolkata. 50 working and 50 non-working women participated in the present venture, who were at least graduates by education. To achieve the study’s objectives, they completed the measures of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, as well as the Beck Depression Inventory. Findings reveal that non-working women are highly susceptible to depression in comparison to working females, while employed women documented highly vulnerable anxiety levels compared to non-working peers.
