Women now work hard and achieve in many aspects of life, yet they still face challenges in a variety of areas, including physical, mental, and social well-being. The present paper aims to discuss and compiling of the information available on menstrual related restrictions. And find out the most common restrictions during the menstrual cycle. The average age at menarche is 12.4 years, and it normally occurs between the ages of 10 to 16 years. 12 papers from the years 2015 to 2022 were located in a review of the literature. describing Indian regulations on menstruation. For young girls, menstruation is a rare occurrence. Myths and taboos have always surrounded it. Menstruation is subject to numerous prohibitions and taboos. The topic of the menstrual cycle is a neglected issue in India. Restrictions during menstruation are still prevalent. The knowledge of menstruation can be greatly improved by raising the education levels of parents, especially mothers. In this review paper found that most common restrictions are religious restriction (11 articles) in which menstruating girls not enter the temple or Pooja room, not touch the holy books and not pray in the front of God and not attained any religious function across India.
