A physical disability is a limitation on a person’s physical functioning, mobility, dexterity or stamina. Other physical disabilities include impairments that limit other facets of daily living. More than 2.5 billion people require one or more assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, or apps that enhance cognition and communication activities, stated to the WHO-UNICEF Global Report on Assistive Technology (AT). Due to some of the barriers, they do not have access to the technology. This research will give some facts to know more about the factors that are affecting the utilization of assistive products. This study will help to understand the perception of persons with disability towards assistive devices and will lead to an understanding of the actual needs of persons with disability regarding their assistive devices. This study will talk about how much awareness the person with disability has about assistive devices, and secondly, it will show us factors which will make to understand the perception of PwDs towards assistive devices. This study will also help to understand the impact of assistive devices on their lives to make them independent, and various barriers faced by them to access the assistive device and how they can use it in a productive form to enhance their skills and be able to achieve their goals.
