The libraries are considered as the base for the development of any nation. With the knowledge explosion the demand of the users is increasing accordingly. The expectations from the librarian have also been changed. The role of the librarian is to provide information instead of providing tools for information. Growth in respect of the collection, technical knowhow and infrastructure etc. is the need of the hour. The paper compare the growth of university library of CDLU, Sirsa and GJU S & T, Hisar during last five years.
