The paper delves into how the executives in the drug industry view and understand the concept of positive living in the professional environment that is highly demanding. The pharmaceutical industry is tightly controlled, performance-driven and full of constant operational strain, which is reflected in the lives of the employees, both psychologically and in their professional services. The paper uses Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, which details the history of the lived experiences of the executives as regards to their understanding of the work-life balance, career development and organizational commitment. Prolonged interviews with top ten managers revealed that competitive remuneration level, professional growth, teamwork, and ongoing education contribute a lot to positive professional identity. At the same time, the issues raised by the interviewees were associated with unattainable production targets, frequent shifts of leaders, and regulatory demands. These tensions were inclined to violation of personal life and emotional well-being. The findings reveal the applicability of the organizational support systems, effective leadership and application of mental health intervention at an opportune time in sustaining the executive health. The paper summarizes by indicating that in a bid to promote positive living within pharmaceutical organizations, there should be deliberate and holistic strategies that will not only be adequate to achieve the productivity goals but also address the human needs.
