The COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented disruptions across every sector of society. However, Information Technology (IT) emerged as a critical enabler in mitigating the pandemic’s effects. This paper explores how IT transformed communication, education, healthcare, remote work, and public administration during the COVID-19 crisis. Drawing from scholarly sources, case studies, and global data, this paper highlights key innovations, challenges, and the long-term implications of the rapid digital transformation initiated by the pandemic. In doing so, it emphasizes the need for sustained investments in IT infrastructure, equitable access, and cyber resilience.
