Emotional intelligence is the future of real intelligence. It is well known that emotionally intelligent individuals show higher social functioning, are better at managing stress, do not engage in unnecessary conflicting situations, and have better coping mechanisms (Mayer, Roberts, & Barsade, 2008; Carmeli, McKay, & Kaufman, 2013). The present investigation was designed to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence, creativity, and life satisfaction. Review of literature shows evidence as to how emotional intelligence leads to enhanced levels of life satisfaction and creativity. To explore this association further, a sample of 120 individuals was collected from various high schools and colleges in Chandigarh. The sample was further divided into 60 males and 60 females. Intercorrelation analysis showed a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and satisfaction with life and between emotional intelligence and creativity. Results are further discussed. The findings of this study have implications for positive psychology, personality psychology, and adolescent psychology.
