The main aim of the research was to identify and analyze the most commonly used animal feed brands by farmers in the Panipat region, alongside evaluating the impact of different feed brands on livestock productivity and health in farming operations. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate the factors influencing farmers’ choices of specific feed brands and factors measuring the performance of current feed brands. Carried out between 2024 and 2025, the investigation took place in Panipat district. It included 100 farmers who were chosen from various villages within the area. To rank these factors, Garrett’s ranking technique along with descriptive statistics was employed. The study analysed farmers’ preferences for animal feed brands and evaluated their impact on livestock productivity and health, encompassing milk yield, weight gain, reproduction rate and immunity aspects. The study’s findings revealed the dependency of purchase decisions on major constraints, such as quality followed by the nutritional value and availability of the current animal feed brand. Additionally, some other constraints like shopkeepers’ recommendation, packaging of feed, brand reputation, source of information and place of purchase also affect the purchase decision of the farmers.
