Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a widespread condition that can greatly affect the quality of life, productivity, and interpersonal relationships, particularly among female young adults. This study aims to explore the prevalence of PMS and the coping strategies used by young adult females aged 18 to 25 to manage PMS symptoms. A sample of 313 participants, selected through convenience sampling and experiencing moderate to severe PMS, was included in the study. The results indicate that 45% female young adults adopt effective coping strategies, and 50% rely on less effective or mixed coping approaches, combining both adaptive and maladaptive strategies. These findings highlight the need for improved education and resources to assist individuals in using healthier, more effective coping methods. The study underscores the importance of promoting adaptive coping strategies to enhance the well-being of those managing PMS.
