Intellectual disability is a condition arrested by incomplete development of brain evident before the age of 18 years. It affects the functioning of adaptive behavior and social skills. Social skills and parental involvement play a significant role in the lives of children with intellectual disability. This study, therefore seeks to establish the relationship between parental involvement and social skills among children with intellectual disability in Delhi/NCR. Data was collected from 40 parents. The analysis found that parental involvement has a positive relationship with children with intellectual disability with respect to their gender and school type whereas social skills have no significant relationship. This study provides significant information to professional, parents and teachers regarding social skills development. This study concludes that if there is a higher parental involvement then there will be greater social skill development among children with intellectual disability.
