Survey of relationship between career path dimensions and organizational health with financial performance in staff of Shiraz medical sciences

The main objective of the present study was to explore how components of career path and organizational health are correlated with the financial performance of employees at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. The research population included 120 employees of finance units of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, of whom 92 employees were selected as the sample under study using Morgan Table. The instruments used to collect the data were Career Path Questionnaire (Moqimi & Ramazani); Organizational Health Scale (Mirkamali & Maleki Nia); and Financial Performance Inventory (Azizi). The validity of the questionnaires was tested through factorial analysis and their reliability varied from 0.70 to 0.97. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS and Lisrel. The results indicated that components of career path and organizational health have a positive significant correlation with the financial performance. To improve the financial heath, organizational health especially at the administrative level should be taken into account. In addition, components of jab path that have been designed according the organizational needs can be used to place employs at appropriate positions consistent with the organization’s goals so that to take steps to improve the administrative heath and finally to strengthen the financial performance.
